A one-day Block Level Training Programme on “Rural Prosperity Through Sanitation” under Theme 5: Panchayat Development Goals (PDGs) was organized at Puintala Block, Balangir. The programme aimed to strengthen awareness and capacity among grassroots functionaries for advancing sustainable sanitation and hygiene practices in rural areas.
The training witnessed active participation from GPDO, ABF, BLC, all PEOs, Sarpanchs, and Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) of Puintala Block. Two Resource Persons from the District Panchayat Resource Centre (DPRC), Balangir facilitated the sessions, offering in-depth guidance on the significance of sanitation in ensuring health, dignity, and rural prosperity.
The discussions emphasized community participation, behavioral change, and effective implementation of sanitation schemes as crucial pathways to achieving Panchayat Development Goals. The event concluded with a shared commitment among local leaders and field workers to make Puintala a model of sustainable and clean rural living.
